INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY

To commemorate its 25th Anniversary Celebration in 2004, The Hour Glass, a premier specialist watch retailer in the Asia Pacific Region, is proud to announce the launch of TEMPUS – The Great Watchscapade.
TEMPUS is the first and only event of its kind and scale in the world.
Not only will it model the presentation style of the annual world watch fairs in Basel and Geneva, it will also include five full days of educational and hands-on activities related to the world of high watchmaking.
TEMPUS will witness the participation of more than 30 internationally renowned luxury watch brands namely Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Breitling, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard, Corum, Daniel Roth, De Bethune, Gerald Genta, Girard Perregaux, Glashutte Original, Glycine, Harry Winston, Hublot, IWC, Jaquet Droz, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Maurice Lacroix, Mont Blanc, Officine Panerai, Omega, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Sinn, Tag Heuer and Ulysse Nardin, together with several independent watchmakers and master horologist and craftsmen such as Philippe Dufour, Vianney Halter, Thomas Prescher, and Urwerk, who will be exhibiting for the first time in Asia.

In honour of The Hour Glass’s celebration and the launch of TEMPUS, the houses of Breguet, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe and Ulysse Nardin have specially created commemorative pieces. Also, for the very first time in Singapore, Audemars Piguet’s Musical Hours Exhibit, Girard Perregaux’s Historic Pieces plus many one-of-a-kind timepieces will be displayed.
More than just an exhibition of fine watches, TEMPUS is filled with highly interactive and educational experiences.
Ranking as the eighth largest market for luxury watches in the World and the third largest in Asia after Japan and Hong Kong, Singapore was chosen to host the much-anticipated event.

The backscene

Every guest that comes in must have to register for an entry pass. Heckcare who u are..media Press, that wealthy brat those father is the big big brat of all mastermind of a big big big companies whatever billion assets they worth, or invited by our ulu "big" names from The HourGlass etc.. This board is placed at near the entry , so ppls saw this board may have pissed off and will turn 180 degree back to the registar counter : "Do I need to register to go in ?"
"Yes, u need to . If u have a business card, u can simply exchange for a pass or else we have to trouble u to fill up this form. " Smiling politely☻ :) and gestured him to the form placed on table.
"Oh , ok ..."Mumbled the guest, digged out his/her card and swopped for the pass.
u look at card : 99% will be this (@.@ ). MD position I consider the lowest job and commonest I have ever seen.
u do the data entry to key in the particular : u also go @.@

The charlie's angel in a smart black suit need to usher the guests, first time in my life I stood at the exit of escalator like a dog watcher, greeted at almost every guests that comes in (thousands everyday?). Simply wretched (just kidding) from 10am to 8pm. (clapped loudly) .High heel , poor aching feet and leg. The hard thing about this is that we can't possible to catch every of them , so during the peak time, we will attend as much as we could. Smiles , other thing. Universal language of open and friendliness and attraction. Tell me how to smile the whole day? Expect Stiff jawbone and wrinkles at the end of the day. The day 1 when we started work, our smiles is natural and from day 2 onwards, u can see a bit of curve on our lip☻ :) but will not see the rest of the facial muscle movement especially the muscle surround the eyes area (giveaway of pretending smile)
When there is a need for quantity, expect decreases in quality.
Quality≠Quantity=limited to manpower

Met and heard some story of unreasonable guests. There is this one guest(it is ah moh couple) that they demand not to register subbornly! They said that " WE ARE HERE TO BUY WATCH AND WE HAVE BRING OUR MONEY FOR IT, I FELT there is NO NEED FOR THIS REGISTERING, TELL YOUR IN CHARGE TO COME HERE AND LET ME TOK TO THEM !"
It's just a pass , a piece of paper to write your big name on it and we are so efficient that there is no need to que up at the counter. Well , who cares? It 's HourGlass business of y the guest got to register ......a follow up thank u letter as attempting scheme for marketing , maybe?
